Colorado Confirms First Equine WNV Case for 2017

A horse residing in Larimer County, Colorado, has been diagnosed with West Nile virus (WNV). Other horses and one of our own dear clients near the Platte River have lost horses due to West Nile. Testing is often not positive and thus a great strain on our clients. The horse that died in our practice had been vaccinated appropriately by the client.
